Try to split them into smaller stacks, so you only get ~1% attrition top (you can check by clicking on an army and looking at the skull in the info panel below their strength. Moving around with 100.000 stack may kill everything, but it takes horriffic losses due to attrittion. Mind the supply limit, especially in the enemy area. Casaulties for the enemy should be catastrophic. You can lure them into mountains with smaller stacks (not toooo small so they dont get instant wiped out), wait for the enemy to engage it and then reinforce it with a nearby bigger stack.
On the other hand, the AI is amazingly stupid. Not needed against the AI though.)Ĭare for Terrain - attacking over rivers, into forests / hills / mountains (!) is usually a very bad idea. Don't forget mobilization gives you alot of pure infantry stacks, so might wanna account for it).Įven better is to have 1 Husar (for Recon) and 1 Engineer (for Occupation and crossings) in every stack (for example, I usually have 5 Arty / 1 Engineer / 1 Husar stack (21.000) stacks prepared and once I mobilize, I send 10 mobilized Infantry stack together with one prepared support stack near to the front, merge them, and off they go. Try to mix them in with Infantry (~40% Arty, 60% Inf is ideal. You can also switch them around for a very minor prestige hit.Īrtillery is pretty important to have. Just look before the war where the best are and keep them in mind.
Just try to attack with good generals, who have good attack modifier (+3 - +5) and defend with good defend generals. Some general tips about warfare in the game : Yes I think you need to occupy everything since its annexiation.
